The patient and doctor meet in the virtual waiting room at a predetermined time while both are at a place of their choice (e.g. at home or in the office). The doctor starts the video consultation hour, a countdown begins and both participants meet in the video consultation. Both conversation partners can see and hear each other as if they were in a normal practice visit. It is also possible to view documents together on the screen - for example medical reports.
